About the Governor's Conference on Tourism
The annual Nevada Governor's Conference on Tourism is the most comprehensive forum for tourism professionals.
Tourism, hospitality and travel industry leaders worldwide including CEOs and directors of marketing and sales
from major hotel casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe will gather at the conference December 8 - 9, 2008 at
the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno.
The conference provides delegates with sneak previews of upcoming trends, insight into what’s new in the industry,
and the opportunity to rekindle contacts and share ideas and experiences.
This year, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary and the program will reflect this significant milestone with
sessions addressing the current state of tourism in Nevada and a look toward the future. Workshop track sessions
will also be offered covering opportune topics such as mobile marketing/geo-tagging in the Tourism Marketing track
and sustainable tourism in the Tourism Development track.
The official state tourism office, the Nevada Commission on Tourism, produces the annual conference, which attracts
approximately 500 - 600 delegates.
