Downtown Sparks is the place for a traditional Christmas parade along with entertainment, arts and crafts and a tree lighting ceremony. The tree lighting ceremony takes place on November 30 and the parade on December 1. Enjoy great Christmas shopping (and get out of the cold) at the Hometowne Craft Faire in the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center, Victorian and Pyramid Highway.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, November 30, 2012 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Gather 'round the tree as Mayor GenoMartini throws on the lights on the glorious tree. Event includes carolers and great entertainment.
Hometowne Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 1, 2012, Parade: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Entire event runs from noon - 4:00 p.m.

This historic community hosts an early evening Christmas parade in which the floats and marching bands must incorporate lights. It’s a celebration of the holidays with a hometown ambiance.

Wine Walk
Carson City

1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Stroll around beautiful downtown Carson City and enjoy wine tasting with a commemorative wine glass and hors d'oeuvres for $10. Visit the art galleries, gift shops, casinos and restaurants. Purchase your glass at the Nugget, Cactus Jacks, Horseshoe Club or Bella Fiore. Turn in your map at the Carson Nugget Casino at 5pm for prizes.
